While GX10 and GX20 cameras are still on sale across the globe the shift of concentration will appear a serious blow for those who have invested in the GX series
Why?

AP seem to forget that the GX series use K mount lenses and are not tied to an obsolete format IN ANY WAY!!!

If GX production stops then there'll still be Pentax bodies.

Or am I missing something?

Mmmmm....good question!!!

But it's a slightly amended first line of the song 'Hotel California' by The Eagles!! One of my favourite records and one day I'd love to be on that desert highway with my K7 in a big open top car(and a cool blonde perhaps!!)
But don't let the missus catch you!

This is an old link, but useful for those who don't know this project (like me!:blush

The sensor size is blanked in the shots so, as a prototype, it could gain a larger MP count before production. That could mean a 20MP sensor (for example) which could find it's way into a Pentax body.

It will be interesting to watch where this goes.

No filters Stefan, I think it's just a dodgy lens!

Compared to the Sigma it lacks performance, which it shouldn't, it should be better according to the reviews I've read.

Comparing the same subject using my Sigma 18-200 and the Tamy, both wide open, the Sigma is noticeably sharper. The Tamy is also producing Chromic aberration and shooting one ISO (400 instead of 200) lower.

So I may have to send the lens to Tamron then?

I'll return it to Jessops first and see what they say.

I took advantage of the cheap Jessops price last month and bought one of these.

I'm still struggling to get consistent results from it, a hit rate of one in seven or so being sharp.

Is anybody else having similar problems, or is it just me?

It's being used on the K200d bye the way.
