I tend to re-use bubble wrap and boxes where I can, envelopes padded or otherwise are usually new.

I got marked down on P&P charges by a guy who got a video card from me recently.

I charged £2 to cover the cost of printing a label, providing the envelope and posting the package to him. Cost to me for materials £1.32, a profit of 68p to cover trailing to the post office, packing the item and printing the label.

The item cost him £2.99!!!

He didn't ask for the serial number though.

I thought the idea was to prevent this happening: you advertise and sell a lens, the purchaser receives it and tells you it is faulty and returns not your good lens but a similar faulty one. You can prevent this scam by quoting the serial number.
Hmmm, I've had 2 lenses that carried different serials to the ones advertised.

In both cases there was no problem but I can see that if there had been I would have had a valid case to open a dispute. Maybe I should put the serial number in the description next time I sell a camera/ lens.

John,

It is probably the principal reason many ask for the serial numbers. I used to use ebay but with their outlandish allowances for shipping, the chance of getting not what you bargained for, and the possibility of stolen goods has soured me to using them anymore. I got stuck for a few purchases there, and finally saw that there were few real true bargains, So now I rely on purchasing what I want by seeing it first and dealing with someone that is reputable and can rely on to resolve things when something is not right.

So by asking for the serial number, Photomonk, you get a reply and know the dealer is above board?

You have better winter colours in Winterpeg Don.

The sky here today has been grey, grey and grey!

Nice montage by the way.

The best I can come up with are these, not very inspired, shots.

Welcome to the forum.

I only have an Olympus XA2 in my collection, oh and a TRIP! and a few Zenits, a lot of Pentax bodies....

Looking at the superb winter shots posted by JudithAnn on the forums and in the gallery it prompted me to ask the question.

What inspiration do you get in the snow when out shooting?

I find it hard to see anything worthy of a shot at the moment, it's all black and white and I can't get excited over anything.

You thoughts...

I'm quite surprised that Pentax haven't tried to make a digital ME Super - call it the ME-D, make it a similar size to the original, and go after the PEN cameras with a full K mount SLR that's no larger or heavier than them.
We've talked for ages on here trying to get Pentax to produce a digital MX.

There's not a big enough market for them though...
