I bought a generic one from eBay for a fiver. Works with just about every camera on the market. Cheaper than the cost of a new battery!
I have a £1.99 one from ebay that lives in my travel pack.

Again it's a generic one and works perfectly. It's also cheaper to replace if I lose it (as I found out!).

My point was that if you remove all the filters then all the pixels would only be looking at tone/birghtness.

I think I'm out of my depth, all I can say is that a black and white TV gives a better picture than watching a black and white film on a colour TV.
You have a black and white TV???

On topic, I think the only advantage of a B&W sensor would be pixel count, which itself causes noise problems, which need more processing power to compensate...

I'll stick with film for mono and the occasional PP conversion thanks.

Yes, the K100D Super is still a great camera that can take top-notch photos. And has scene modes and stuff for beginners.
And shake reduction, not found on pre-K100d bodies.

OK let me get this straight, the Pentax remote E DOES work with DSLRs, mine was bought for use with an Optio550z and is still in use with my K200d.

The second button does nothing on DSLRs but it is an alternative if the price is right.

If it's hot it'll cook anything, if it isn't hot, have a salad!

Last nights curry was spectacular.

We visited a new(ish) resteraunt in Saltaire which actually has a Michelin star!

Well deserved too.

Unlike our local curry house that only has Michelin tyres, on the cars I may add...

If it's in pastry and in yorkshire it's got to be a pork pie...

Dribbles it thought, eyes go glassy, expression goes vacant.

Mind, I'm off out for a curry now so...

We after the Righthand Highland Blakcantans, they have the short legs on the right and long legs on the left.

Didn't see any, our guide reckons it was too wet and they were in the caves hiding.

Still, we got some dressed domesticated ones when we came home, very tasty.

Stick insects change sex so they can breed.

My good lady brought two home for the kids when they were much younger.

"Don't worry they're both female" she was told.

Seven years and numerous generations later we finally got rid of them when the central heating failed in the middle of winter.

never again!!!

Oh yes!
They kept escaping and making their way into the attic, where we sleep!

Yep, I have one, and a Hoya 135.

The Pentax is small, light, a pleasure to use.

The Hoya is heavy and cumbersome in comparison, and although a faster lens, doesn't have the same IQ on digital!

I also have a couple of M42 135s that I keep meaning to get rid of....
