the seal of the peculier of Masham, which is the theakston trademark, dates back to the 12th century when the Archbishop of York appointed the Official of the Ecclesiastical Court in Masham to administer the law, thus avoiding having to make the long and arduous journey himself.
Theakstons has been brewing fine traditional ale in Masham for over 175 years, and there has been many a milestone in the company's history along the way. One of the most recent being that, after a period of 20 years,Theakstons has once again become independent, controlled and managed by the Theakston family - 'under old management' as you might say!
That's alittle bit of history to go with the gin.

Is "OP" my Old Peculier?
One of the best beers(in my opinion!) ever to cause a hang over.

Hence, I don't BBQ.
Stews on the stove, briskette on the stove, infact anything that will fit in a large cast iron casserole and sit on the stove I can cook.
and I can open OP bottles faster than you can say the name!

Yes I did say work on Monday, it's overtime so...
When summer finally comes and we don't use the new wood burning stove (that's what the wood's for!) I'll have to start cooking in the kitchen again.
The gas bill could go up over the last £4.00 odd one .
Still...

Now all I've got to do is learn Dutch to understand it!
I'll do that when I finish my 'Swedish in 3 months' book, bought 25 years ago and still waiting attention!

It doesn't alter the image quality though and for £100 it's a good walk around.

The Tamron I can't comment on fully. I had problems over 200mm but these seem to have been resolved with the latest firmware update. Up to that length though it's a good lens. The link below is using this lens.

The sigma isn't a full 200 at the long end but I do like the lens. The shots on these links are with this lens.

Unlike the canon range ,which seems to do too much other than cameras, I haven't held a really bad Nikon body.
And why do people avoid Sony?
They made the sensors for a lot of the older cameras out there, including the *istD on to the K100d (If I recall correctly)
