I have to agree, the only problem I have ever had with a memory card was when changing cards. I dropped it off of the bridge I was standing on. Having a larger card would have meant no need to change and no lost holiday pictures.

Very sad news, as others have said his enthusiasm was infectious and inspired many. Father Christmas is bringing a telescope for my 9 year old. His interest comes largely from watching Sir Patrick.

Just pick one up, it feels right. It is as simple as that for me. I have owned many cameras but always go back to Pentax. A friend who owns a Canon 500d which I can not hold as I have a full set of fingers said to me "You should have gone Canon, they have more lenses. Look on Ebay." I said "I only plan to buy 70 or 80 lenses when Pentax run out I will go Canon"

Thanks for your comments John, it is good of you to take the time. I do find the GX-10 does feel better in the hand for me and I do prefer buttons and dial to change settings rather than going through the menu. The high ISO performance was something that really impressed me with the K-X, but I really did only use it to good effect on a couple of occasions so I think I can live with the GX-10. I keep telling myself that I did without all the video funtions and such that are the norm nowadays for years, so I can still go without.
