I think we may have accidentally hijacked this thread, apologies for this
To get back on topic, the question was 'what upgrade' from K-5? Hope you get some decent feedback.
Regards
David
Brief update is that I just ordered a k3! Probably would have been perfectly happy with the k5 II(s) but let's see what the k3 has to offer

Focus points - I invariably use centre!
Dual SD slots sounds great.
24MP - great for cropping, less so for file size.
Decisions, decisions...

After a while the upgrade bug bit hard and I bought a k5. To be completely honest I didn't see as much benefit as hoped. Yes it had video, far more pixels to play with and better low light sensitivity but I felt the pics straight from the camera were actually less pleasing to the eye.
The k5 was recently stolen and with the insurance cash arriving this week I'm not sure what to go for. Head says take the opportunity to get a k3 but given my last 'upgrade' I'm wondering whether a k5 IIs might be a better option.
Thoughts...?

Sometimes you simply don't have the luxury of being able to 'move your feet' and a prime can be quite limiting.
Of course, given enough time, space and opportunity a prime will deliver the goods.

The weaknesses of the 18-250 are still there but very manageable all the same.
