I can see that this interesting, capable piece of kit will get me going again in the world of photography

hmm. I wonder, will my wife accept the argument that as I am not buying film and processing it then i can spend some of that money on new lenses in the future?????

sorry to hear of your predicament, is the battery still in position?
Try taking it out and re-seating it.
If that doesnt fix it then - TBH - I've no idea whatsoever ;-(

Haris has successfully tempted me and so I restart my adventure into photography and will see how it works out. My previous adventure was with Minolta 35mm film camera and a Yashicamat 124G (which I still have gathering dust) and seemed to cost a lot of monies for lenses etc. Will this end up going the same way in a year so????

The golden rule previously seemed to be that the lens on the camera was never wide/long enough and, even if you had one in the bag there was never time to change it, and also there were always better (or more desirable) cameras around than the one I owned . . . .

My son has a K50, purchased from this group.
Is the K5 better or is the k50 just a newer lighter iteration of the K5 with some functions missing???
