Took around 5,000 over two days shooting a dog agility show a couple of weeks ago - with several hundred dogs in lots of different competitions in 8 or 9 rings it's quite easy to fill your cards. Two cameras involved - one my K-5iis.

I am trying to remember exactly which lens/lenses have been involved. The first time it happened I think it must have been with the 55-300mm on the next occasion it could have been the Sigma 50-150mm . Since posting this thread back in June it has'nt happened again except on a couple of occasions when using my Sigma 120 -400mm where it also did'nt always lock af - as this lens worked perfectly with my K-30 [and other previous models] I put this down to some incompatability between lens and camera rather than a camera problem. Have had another 3 or 4 lock ups which has been annoying!

The later OS ones seems to go for around £375 second hand so I'd like to get around £275.

In very good condition - optics clear and scratch free. Only signs of wear are to the foot of the tripod mount where the paint has flaked off. With both end caps and hood,plus padded Sigma lens pouch.





The lens has worked perfectly on my K-30 and before that on a K20D. There seems to be some sort of compatability problem with my K5-lls [firmware??] the lens will sometimes not lock focus. This is apparent as soon as the lens is mounted. Take it off and on a few times, clean contacts several times and it then works. Once it's working it stays working. Unsure if this is something to do with the latest Pentax af system or just my camera being it's usual quirky self! When fitted to my K-30 it worked all the time, first time, as it should.These are some crops from a few quick shots taken with the K-5lls this morning in both dull and sunny weather.
