Well the deal is done, for everything he wanted R3500 which would have been robbery, I offered R4500 which is equivalent to about UKP 400.00. And no I don't feel guilty as he switched to the enemy

Now I have two 500mm f4.5 lenses and I thought I would never find one.

I've been looking for an LX for some time now and have now found someone who switched from Pentax in the early days of digital, he has what I want but will only sell all or nothing. I've never sold anything on ebay and the cost of international shipping from here will be high so I'd have a problem getting a decent price for the unwanted items.

The long and the short of it is what would be a fair price for this kit?

As a test slip a piece of aluminium cooking foil between the lens and contacts to short them out, I've had to remove the black paint on some of my lenses.

I don't know the Beck lens, when you attach it to the camera does it short out the contact pins on the lens mount, i.e. is the base wide enough to cover all the contacts, and is it electrically conductive. Focus confirmation does not work if the contacts are not shorted.

Our local e bay equivalent has an iniquitous option for the seller to select when placing his ad, it's called "Extends with late bids" any bid placed in the last two minutes of the auction extends the auction closing time by another two minutes ad infinitum. This is when the prices really jump to the sellers advantage.

Yes because at my age I have great difficulty reading magazines where the small text is overlaid on a coloured or distracting background, in fact I've given up on buying magazines as this text over image style seems to be the in thing with all magazine editors/publishers.

In PDF format I can always hit Control +.
