Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I have been watching a Sigma 400 f5.6 PK-A mount all week. Good condition, with just a bit of easily got rid of fungus. I watched it count down. At £16 with just 15 seconds to go, I put my bid in. £35. Click confirm bid button, and.... GET BLOODY SIGN IN PAGE!! - Lens sold for £31.

Thanks very much, Ebay!
Thats happened to me before, I use an online sniper now.

I know ebay like you to sign in to your account daily, but you'd think they'd arrange it not to happen just as your about to bleedin' well bid on something, wouldn't you!?

There's nothing sporting about Ebay

My thoughts exactly. I prefer sniping largely because it stops me getting carried away with bidding.
BTW Mike... haven't you sold that 85mm lens?

Yes, I know, it hasn't got the very best reputation of the various A-series 400s out there.
Wide open it can be a bit grim, but stopped down a bit, I've had some quite reasonable results from it. The only reason I don't use it more is that I have the 55-300, which is more useful, and a prime isn't as useful as a zoom in the conditions I usually want it for.
The Sigma A-400 is very light, and very quick to focus, which does compensate a bit for its shortcomings.
As I think we'd established when anyone complains about Pentax AF, it's all about understanding the limitations of the equipment.
Edit: an example, and another. The second is an example of why a zoom is more useful than a prime

I distrust and dislike ebay for the way it has moved and will only ever use it occasionally.
