To some people though, they are where they 'came in' to Pentax cameras perhaps and are associated wit all good stuff.
To me the Spotmatics have beautiful lines and are like works of art, but my favourites to look at, hold and use are the black K2, silver MX and the LX, with the K2 being the smoothest and with the quietest shutter.
(I didn't like the looks and feel of my Pentax K-20D, but love my silver K-3)

It is complete with original caps, leather pouch, box and paperwork, all in immaculate condition.
It was purchased new in Germany in August 2012 for €828.90 (£687.16)
As I say I would like to swap it for the silver version, similarly in mint condition with its caps, pouch and box.
Anyone interested? (Photos on request.) Graham.

Many of them have absolutely no idea where to start, and are coming from camera phones!
I have seen some repeatedly looking at the back of the camera wondering where the monitor is......
Try explaining the "Sunny 16" rule to someone who owns a DSLR but who has no idea HOW it works, or the relationship between aperture, shutter speed and "film" speed........

Our world has become globalised, and with the Internet I can interact with people all around the planet.
Why should I not be able to buy from wherever I wish?
Surely by now there should be international warranties, effective in whatever country you happen to be in, irrespective of where you bought an item?
These restrictive practices are now outdated.
I own at least one lens I bought from Japan, and even with proper customs duty, VAT and handling charge it was still less expensive than anywhere in the UK. It's a top class Pentax lens, and the chances of it going wrong in the first two years is, in reality, extremely small.

Just go for the generic ones, they are almost all the same.

They probably were fine for the era, its just that coming from an earlier era myself, I thought Pentax stylists had "lost their way".
Military looking....was that meant to be a compliment?
