A great example of pure dedication to the cause and stunning end result! Thanks for sharing your video of how it was all planned and panned out, a very interesting watch.

Good luck in the competition!
Thank you Rick. Conditions were not as good as I had hoped for, the cities Cheltenham and Gloucester seem to give off a smog of sorts that really hampered getting good visibility of the Milky Way Galactic Core. Still the location is only 20 mins away, from where I live and about a 30 min walk in. So nothing really lost. I will try again at some point

I like the funny coloured water The lighting there is wonderful.
Yes the colour of water here has been marveled over for years

Did you know .....
"The Severn Estuary it carries lots of mud and has one of the highest tidal ranges in the world — about 50 feet (15 metres). The estuary's funnel shape, its tidal range and the underlying geology of rock, gravel and sand, produce strong tidal streams and high turbidity, giving the water a notably brown coloration.
Up to 10 million tonnes of silt are churned up and carried along in suspension by tidal currents running at seven metres per second."

Hey, I've got that lens too. Hardly ever use it though. Perhaps I should - that's a rather good photo!

Shot through the window of my hotel room in Clevedon, Somerset UK in feb.
Overlooking the severn estuary at low tide, facing towards Wales during sunset - Best £5 I have spent in 2023!

Paid £5 - SMC Pentax-F 35-80mm - Used on the K1 and very surprised with the results.

It certainly looks like OM, while the buttons are not usually round I have at least one third party lens that does have round buttons.
To confirm the greater diameter of the OM mount (across bayonet tabs) is ~46.7mm and without the tabs the diameter is ~44.2mm.
OM has a horizontal locking pin near the end of one of the bayonet tabs.

Perhaps useful is the note I have that the lens can be used on PK bodies upside down if it is held against the cameras mounting flange.
Thank you Mike.
I had noticed upside down the lens felt like it should fit but sadly not. I reached out to the website owner for the link Johnathan posted and he confirmed that the mount was for OM so, I think its safe to say this might be going on ebay! - Thank you all for your help.

The only mount I know of that has buttons like this on the lens is the Olympus OM, but they're not usually round. These ones could be round because it's a third party item.

This site seems pretty extensive and the only other possibility I see there is the Voigtlander Vitessa T and I'd think that's too old for a 35-200mm zoom.

To be honest though, a third party legacy super-zoom is likely to be of such poor optical quality that it's not worth the bother of trying too hard...
Thanks Jonathan.
I appreciate you point about it likely not worth the bother, but there is something about obscure lenses that i like, especially when one is in such good condition. I'm now wondering if the mount has been converted previously, hence the confusion. Would still like to see how it performs if I could.

Hey folks, I have been gifted a lens and trying to work out what mount it is. I believe it as Pentax K mount (original) as denoted by the K on the serial. But the push pins on the lens mount are throwing me.

Does anyone know if this lens can be converted to work on the Pentax K1.

I can't find much information about this one online. The Lens itself in the flesh doesn't look a day old. A++ condition.

Like this image Geoff, that angle really makes them feel tall and elegant. I did shoot a VLOG yesterday for the Pentax Youtube Photo Challenge but after chatting with the fella that set it, it turns out to be only open to certain Pentax shooters and not an open fun comp so I've binned those videos!
Thanks Gareth. Well tis a shame you binned the videos as they may have come in useful. Even without the fun compo it would have been good to see what you have come up with. Any chance you could still post?
