Pentax K1 and 100mm Macro Lens. Autumn is a great time to photograph fungi and mushrooms in your local woodland as the warm days and cold nights with damp weather is the perfect conditions for fungi and mushrooms to grow on the woodland floor.

I was really keen to use the Autumn weather and the changing of the season to produce some fantasy inspired woodland macro mushroom fungi photography as part of the Pentax Youtube Photo Challenge - Full set can be seen in the video below... I hope you like and enjoy

Hi Geoff, I've just watched your video, very interesting and great final images!

I'd never heard of aperture stacking before, your resulting images are magical.

Cheers

Cheers Mike. Pleased to read you found the video informative.
I find the method very usable for when you have a lens that focus breathes.

Regards
Geoff

Like this image Geoff, that angle really makes them feel tall and elegant. I did shoot a VLOG yesterday for the Pentax Youtube Photo Challenge but after chatting with the fella that set it, it turns out to be only open to certain Pentax shooters and not an open fun comp so I've binned those videos!

Thanks Gareth. Well tis a shame you binned the videos as they may have come in useful. Even without the fun compo it would have been good to see what you have come up with. Any chance you could still post?

I always format the memory card once I've transferred the contents to the PC. As there was no need for these videos I placed them into the recycling bin which is set to auto delete so they're gone! I wasn't over keen on the 4 images I shot from that session in the park as isolating subjects was damn near impossible and I planned on going to second location today. I was only there for about 2 hours and I shot about 30 or so videos that I hadn't started editing in DaVinci back on the PC that were binned so no big shakes. One good thing came from the time there was the Rode Wireless Go mic I upgraded to also suffers from wind noise and it wasn't even that windy. That and the wind muff comes off very easily and I can see me losing them! Lav mic might be getting used instead of the wind muff I think
