Those are excellent shots ! And what really great looking squirrels you have too .... those here are really more rat like without those lovely bushy tails and those amazing ears

Oops - ignore that. I have the original, don't see the point in buying the Sandisk one.

Tamron SP AF 90 mm F/2.8 Di Macro Lens For Pentax or Samsung

It's quite possible the winner came in after the first bid .... it's the inane original bidder that needs putting down.

No question the 150-500 is superior to the 120-400.

Absolute worst case scenario ..... get the SDM repaired, £100.

They really don't look at all sharp. I downloaded a couple to look at the EXIF. Shutter speeds ranged from 1/250 to 1/1,000 so the slower shutter speed may be the cause in that one. There is some slight vignetteing on #1 too.

Maybe you need to look at sharpening on exit as part of your workflow if these look sharp prior to uploading here ?

They do look very dramatic and certainly interesting subject matter !

Those are lovely for a first attempt (and lovely not for a first attempt)

I agree that they definitely need brightening.

Beautiful set of gorgeous birds ! The only C&C I could offer is that the beamer seems to be overly powerful on a couple of these (#1&2) and giving a non-flattering bright outline to the birds.
