Try composing and focusing a manual lens on a camera without a VF. Not that easy without the camera pressed against your forehead. One handed shake anyone ?

*flicks hair back and walks away* *I'd be happy to see ONE of those birds on any of my walks*

Another lovely set. I did see a flock of Yellowhammers last year - they were very easy to spot by all of the CaNikon big guns lined up shooting them !

Surprised no one has mentioned the different firmware on the new silver version...

Would this be to work with the new lens or some other unrelated technical reason????
Different to what ? v1.13 is available for all K5s.

Some simply gorgeous shots there Gary. The only thing I'd say is that some of the processing makes the shots look more 'artistic' than natural ?
I may have said before that I do not Photoshop any images that I have taken ,these are as is on the day.
In that case these came out spectacularly well ....those willows giving you the perfect backdrop for some lovely bokeh !

I have seen one KF already this year (the Common KF is the same in China as in Europe - so different from those in North America), a streaking bolt of electric blue, your series has now inspired me to go and try to find the little devils, so hopefully I'll find one not in perpetual motion !

I love #3 and the Scopes owl. How did you get so close to so many owls BTW ?

Thanks for the feedback. Awesome pics! For the insect photos, did you have extension tubes on too?
Thanks ! For some of the shots I'll add the Raynox 250 (I think it's about another £30-40 in the UK and worth every penny). I rarely use tubes.
