Hook Head, Co. Wexford

These are all K-5 + DA 18-135mm, light generally very dull with just a few glimpses of sun, but I didn't mind too much as I wanted to try out the low light, high ISO, low noise reputation of the camera. I wasn't disappointed! Just a little exposure adjustment to brighten things up a touch.

I rather like these, great sense of motion

Clare

They really don't look at all sharp. I downloaded a couple to look at the EXIF. Shutter speeds ranged from 1/250 to 1/1,000 so the slower shutter speed may be the cause in that one. There is some slight vignetteing on #1 too.

Maybe you need to look at sharpening on exit as part of your workflow if these look sharp prior to uploading here ?

They do look very dramatic and certainly interesting subject matter !

Like everything I've posted in the last couple of days, a steadier base ie. tripod would have been handy! Was torn here between trying a slow shutter speed to give a bit of blur and a speed fast enough to catch the spray. Probably fell between two stools.
But thanks for commenting - it all helps the learning process.
