Great value for money ! A good start to your YWP season, I'm sure you'll post many more.

Whilst I'm guilty of not entering the comps on here (rarely) I do enter the monthly comps on a much smaller Pentax forum and have only missed a month or two over the 4 or 5 years on there.

Having a monthly comp. with a set theme, June for example, is easy to remember (both the theme and ending day) and there is little time pressure, hence (for that site) always a healthy entry.

A weekly and a monthly sounds about right to me.

Thanks Cabbie, she was really happy to read your comment (especially when I told her what you do for a living)

7th and 8th, real great shots for me. Love the background blur.

Thanks Jeeess !

In #7 (wide open at 300mm) the background is the light filtering through the trees and in #8 it is the bushes/grass that forms the background. The beautiful vibrant colours of the flower really seem to make the background stand out and at 300mm it gives it almost the look of a painting. I was very pleased with her efforts as you can tell !

I like this set a lot too. There is something about uninhabited/dilapidated premises that makes them sooo enticing to togs !

#1 & #2 for me. A rather good set. Personally I'd like to see just a tad more space given around the cars ? Just a thought.

I love the last one ! It has a strong cinematic feel to it emphasised by your border.

#3 is an excellent shot too.

That's a great shot Alan ! I bought a variable ND grad to play around with plus a 10 stop a couple of months ago .... but still haven't found the water/clouds and location I want to shoot yet !
