I gave up on the level thing too. I always open my photos in photoshop and almost the first thing I do is adjust the level. I don't crop though till I'm sure I'm not losing anything I may want. Not the cameras fault since hubby is always telling me he can see I'm not holding the camera level. (I don't have the problem with any other camera though.)I've never worked out why yet, just go with the workaround.

Well done. I think choosing the pictures which are worth your time to work on is a skill in itself. Good luck with your editing course.

Hi David, Nice to see the population of Pentaxians in Devon is growing.

They're all very good. Wish I could do as well.

I like being able to upload the photographs directly in the competitions section; so that is a definite improvement. Whether the competition should be monthly or fortnightly though is a different question. There didn't seem to be much activity for the first couple of weeks and then lots at the end so perhaps there is enough interest for it to be fortnightly?

The sun came out, so I decided to do the garden. Saw a frog/toad...I'm no expert. I decided to photograph him. Rushed indoors; upstairs; got the camera; changed the lens; rushed downstairs; rushed outdoors; rushed indoors; got the battery and the SD card; rushed downstairs; rushed outside. During all this the little frog waited patiently. I'm thinking of training him to be a guard frog!

When the sun comes out I'm going to stop reading this and get outside. I think I may be in luck right about now.

ChrisA,
Thanks for posting the link to the newspaper article. I got my answer from a bystander "I was only metres away from this man when he was arrested and the police acted incredibly professionally and instead of co-operating he kicks off why??? ".
Photographers do need to have the general public on side, if they want to maintain their rights to photograph whatever, whenever.

There is lots of money to be made when youtube videos go viral. I think he was deliberately trying to provoke a bad reaction from security. How else do you explain his own over-the-top behaviour and the fact that he wants you to get lots of people to watch it.

When my 18-135 lens was doing something similar they replaced a motor and a PCB (under warranty). I thought at first that it was only doing it at the 135mm end but the problem became more and more obvious the more I used the lens.
