Pentax has great lenses and the new K-30is a wonderful and refreshing design to move the company into the digital future. Lots of Pentaxians in Singapore are eagerly waiting for its arrival as well as the K5 replacement.

Use the OVF instead of the LCD screen. Yo save power that way. Learn to hand hold your camera and do what we in Singapore do. Before you press the shutter button, take a deep breath and hold it there. It works great.

Even my Pentax Q has a glass screen protector for the LCD from ACMAXX from eBay.

To each his/her own. Some of us want to protect our investment. I have been using screen protectors since I had my K10D and no my K5 also has one.
No dirt ha gotten underneath the screen and between the LCD as there is a seal around the glass.

The on/off switch controls the on/off on the grip. You need to switch on the camera and the grip to use the grip.
