The one I'm waiting for is the Adapter K for Q. Enabling the use of K mount lenses seems an interesting idea.

The pinhole lens will also be a possibility. Yes, I know I could make a pinhole camera any time I wanted to, but I never seem to have the time.

The Q seems to be inclusive of people who want to experiment with lots of different things. Lenses are relatively inexpensive and there is a wide variety of experimental shooting styles and special effects.

At some point I would not be at all surprised to see a special complete kit in its own fitted attache case, rather like the nice aluminium case provided for the Auto 110.
Best regards, John

We are waiting for the official adapter to put Fiona's Q onto the 250-600mm, that might look a little silly but could be a great combo!

Haven't got a clue Adrian to be honest, mainly waiting to see what the price is and what features it provides. If it's silly money then it's off to eBay to get a cheapy £20 manual one!

Urgh! Mind you I would not put it past them producing this.....

Accessories or other bits?
K-mount adapter that will at least talk to DA lenses (or any lens without aperture ring), as for birding, putting the Sigma 105mm Macro, or DFA 100 macro would make a very fine compact combination. Actually putting my 170-500 on the front would be fun, a bit silly but fun!

How about a fast 15mm lens? Something like F1.7/F1.8 Good for portraits and akin to the angle of view of an 85mm (yes I know about DOF, but in the studio F8 is the norm and I have used my LX-5 to good effect in the studio.....), but low light portraits where fast is needed, then it could be good.

20mm F2 macro?
30mm F4
40mm F2.8? (mind you IF a decent K-adapter came along, use the Limited)

A small tilt/twist flash for the hotshoe with a bit of power, possibly akin to the 200 flash (maybe a 150 type) small light and can put in the bag - the 540 flash will work, but again looks silly.

Ultimately the K-mount adapter is what I would like to see, then all may small primes would double up as decent telephoto lenses on a Q. Until then I will hold back on purchasing a Q (although I do love it!)

Is that the photographic equivalent of a Concept Car!

Who would buy a camera case that has a padlock on it!

I doubt if even a suitcase with padlocks would sell
Half Man... Half Pentax ... Half Cucumber

Pentax K-1 + K-5 and some other stuff

So you have a pretty pink handbag for the camera, then have to tuck the other 'box' containing the lenses under your arm - eh.

My wife might, just might, go for the 1st option (apart from she doesn't like pink, and what does she do with her 'actual' handbag), but I for one wouldn't see the 'box' even leaving the house.

Further reinforces my thoughts that this is just a design excercise if it's a small system it should all go into one bag

Go on ladies buy two.... Your worth it! (..... Ducks!.....)
