The pentax K10 did use to Auto Bracket using the 2 or 10 second timer but after one of the firmware upgrades it didnt - i guess they forgot to put it back in. The K20 does auto bracket using the timer or you can do what i do with my K10 buy a wired shutter release works fine.

When i bought my K10 i upgraded my home and contents insurance for a couple of extra quid a month this covers my camera for accidental damage and theft in the home or on location - imho its well worth it there a loads of additional benefits aside from the camera cover.

With respect i still disagree, i only use my strap when taking a picture when the picture has been taken it goes back in my lowepro slingshot not round my neck when getting in a car, having a coffee, i dont have children, muggers dont worry me im bigger than the average hoody! and if you were mugged its easier for a "steaming" mugger to rip the camera from your hand and be gone into a crowd than goto the hassle of getting the strapped from around your neck.
Your arguement regarding the "trip" is a little bit of a strange one , if the cameras in your hand and say you trip up or down a set of stairs your natural human reaction is to reach out and protect yourself with your hands therefore i would imagine the camera would bounce either up or down said stairs ouch , it might just be that if the same happened with a strapped camera the unit might be in better condition once said "trip" had completed"

Quote:
Safest place for a camera is in the bag.
Second safest place, in your hand.
Place where it's most likely to get damaged? Dangling around your neck.

The strap it came with is fine if you heed my advice and leave it unattached to your camera 95-99% of the time!
not sure if i agree with you , if its in the bag you cant take pictures with it there and if its in your hand and trip or have a moment the cameras on the floor
