I like the idea of a voting competition - I don't think there can be any dispute over whether the winning entry deserves it or not. As to anonymity, I am ambivalent. The only reason I can see for it is to prevent votes for the photographer's reputation rather than the photograph. Does that happen here? However, it does therefore necessitate someone volunteering to host and post all the entries and I can see that becoming a problem.

I hope you let it go again. The light is real nice but I found a bit too much distraction to the right hand side.

I like the third shot, but I think it's straw too.

My pick is the first. These photos remind me of my time in Mexico. Very Legoretta.

I like the sweep of the horn in the first one. It looks rather friendly to me.

I found it very difficult to shoot this scene normally so I've tried my hand at HDR. Three shots, 2 stops interval. I then adjusted the result to try and make it less HDR looking. Comments welcome.

Actually, that's only about half of the daily intake! I just couldn't be bothered to open up the second box.

Congratulations Gareth. I wasn't overkeen on the other entries, including mine, but I did like yours. It's a while since I gave up but I've never heard of Sterlings.
