The first one is doing so much for me but I like how the skies comes out with the green trees but the left side of the photo looks greyish to the rest.
The B&W is better, the shine of the metal really comes out of that photo.

I prefer the B+W. The colour one does not really look hdr at all, apart from the trees on the right, which I like the look of. I think it would look better with the hdr a bit more in evidence on the tanker. I sometimes overlay the hdr conversion on top of one of the original files and then fade the hdr selectively using the eraser tool at different opacities to get the effect how and where I want it: the one of the dhow in my gallery is done this way and a few on my website.

I think it looks good. Good use of HDR, where it is being used to get over the problem of low dynamic range of the digital sensor.
I like the colour for its natural look, despite the obvious challenges. I like the mono for drama in the sky and the light on the tank!
