I haven't seen those yet.

I'm not trying to twist things. But surely there is ultimate irony in a thread entitled 'oh the irony' which reports the closure of a thread following the intervention of the reporter of the irony. It's quite brilliant actually. Equivocation par excellence and ironic as ironic could be.

Very good choice of subject indeed. This is the kind of topic that stimulates the imagination and motivates a few jaunts with the camera. I'm looking forward to the challenge.

Beautiful lighting, the fly is good but the background makes the picture. Nice one.

So by your own admittance you went over to the other forum, made a provocative comment which caused the thread to be closed down then returned here and then announced that the thread had been closed down.

That is extraordinary.

What is this, Lord Of The Flies?

This forum has recently lost a number of good and active members. As far as I can work out, seven or eight for good and a further half dozen who will be winding down their activity here. Three PPG centurions gone. I don't see this as a reason to celebrate. A propos.

Congratulations AG, superb picture and to RPLSF on a very original take. Thanks Northgrain for the comp which attracted a wide variety of entries and for the excellent judging.

If I were to travel (a rare occurrence these days), that would represent some of my best photo opportunities. There's no way I wouldn't take my best kit or just reserve it for mundane back home stuff. If space were tight then I might consider a few compact primes, but I wouldn't sacrifice IQ. The Q for me is an alternative to a DSLR system.

I very highly recommend the Silverefex plugin.

It's not slow on a 64bit system.
