I've spent most of my professional life thinking about water, so would be very glad to see some creative images on the subject. It's obviously a hoary old photographic theme, so I will be putting particular emphasis on originality when judging.

Shots are to be taken from now until 6 pm BST, Wednesday 21st September 2011. Usual rules. Pentax cameras or Samsung variants only please. EXIF data to be provided. Please try to keep images to 800px on the long side.

ps. My first time setting one of these. I had a look through Glyn's invaluable list of previous subjects and I think the topic is new to the fortnightly... but correct me if I'm wrong or have done anything else stupid

Bath Water

Shot Using a Pentax Optio WG-1 in "under water" & macro modes with forced flash and spot focus.

The exif says it is 5.0mm, 1/250sec & F4.2 but this was chosen by the camera and not me.

The photo was taken on 17/09/2011.

Is it max 1 entry per person? If so I'm just going to throw up a small image of this, the other one I was thinking of entering

Just faffing around with the Optio W90 on a short break last week - pic credit actually goes to SWMBO with some PP by me - if only I could have kept my darn eyes open!

This competition has now officially closed, although with apologies to entrants judging will not start until about 10pm (I have to dash off to a parents' evening...)

I will try to post the results by 11pm BST. Try not to let the suspense grind you down too much
