Fly, on BBC

5000 impressions today on my pathetic little Flickr account, the 3rd busiest day ever, because of this, which BBC chose as one of their readers pics of the day. Reversed lens macro on 65mm extension. But I do so wish Pentax had that MPE-65 in their lineup

Excellent macro Nass. I like the head-on view, and how the DOF isolates the head/eyes.

If you never took another macro shot I think you could retire very happily after this one.

Beautiful lighting, the fly is good but the background makes the picture. Nice one.

I agree that this is a beautiful shot Nass; the richness of the colours and the shallow DOF really make it pop! I'm not surprised the BBC selected it, nor that you have had 5000 hits in a day! (which is about as many as I have had ever!:shock

Nice one

Ha ha - I think that is a little OTT ... but the lighting is gorgeous - love the shaft of light hitting the leaf/fly. Great shot.
