masterful lighting.
brilliant as always.
I would've been fired, from that job, 'cause I'd probably've kicked stick-girl off my set and demanded a healthier (read not so thin) looking model.
(hope everybody knows by now I'm kidding around!)
(I hope somebody from Dove is reading this...Or I'll never break into the fasion arena of our business.....)

I doubt my eye is critical enough to spot the differences between an average shot printed 8x12 from on either camera.
(don't rule out the 50-200 da or the 16-45 da. they perform a lot better than thier price tags suggest!)

used to love my k1000.
I find I can work faster in low light in manual than with anything automatic.

barbarian.
step away from the pentaxes....
you don't have to cut anything.
there's a setting in the menu that will allow you to use your "unvandalized" manual lenses with your new dslr. Honest.
Welcome to the forum!
great bunch here!
ps (i have a yamaha fj1200...it goes nicely with my collection of speeding tickets).

Now with digital photo and video you can go completely nutz!
try shooting through a yellow gel when setting your white balance (on a white card or expodisc), then sticking the gel on your lights and using them to light your subject.
you now have a normal colored subject against a bluish background.
pump up the contrast abit and your subject will appear to have been shot by moonlight!
apply an etherreal filter or soft glow and pow!
shooting night shots and dreamy nightshots during the day!

an image shot to jpeg, touched up properly and saved to a non lossy format (I prefer psds to tiff) printed at a pro lab can't be distinguished from the same shot done on raw. Try it sometime....you'll see.
Raw only give a clear advantage when you make a mistake, or when the contrast range is too high(ie sunset images, bridal portrait in difficult light).
I think of raw as a little bit of insurance, for very special shots.
Jpeg is for the other 90% of your work.
Get it right in camera, or waste your time fixing things in post.

ps
those metalic paper prints we were yapping about in another thread....
your first two sunsets, and the foot image would really rock on that paper!

did you shoot raw or jpeg?
I find jpegs do not work well on those sunset images (banding in the highlights around the sun in mine) but raw really shines in shots like that.
that foot shot really does tell a story and has great stock/commercial potential.
I'm making sangria, and digging out a suntan lamp.
I may not have spain, but I can still go to my "crazy place" in my mind, and be happy!

tick season is passing, mosquitos have launched first wave of attacks, not too bad this year, so far.
yes all the background images are of the girl, her dress, and jewlery and tattoos.
with places like "Superstore" throwing thier hats into the grad photo business, ($6.99 grad portraits), were looking at changing what we offer.
one of the little ideas I'm trying out is graffitti art posters that they can get all thier friends to autograph.
so there'd be some text about schools, years, yearbook sayings added ontop of the image.
next time you're in the 'Peg pm me we'll do coffee.
