anyways the easiest way to find out if it's condensation is to switch to av and stop it down, if the orbs suddenly look like little stop signs (ie shaped like the diaphram in the lens, problem solved).
if it's dust (or more comon out here flying insects like mosquitos....angling the flash will solve it.
if it's little spirits, alien life forms, wierd electromagnetic feilds generated by some as yet uninvented time machine, I can't help you...those things tend to avoid me like the plague...

Given that I don't suffer from the aforementioned limmitations, I'll hazzard a guess anyways...
If you were shooting in a cool (airconditioned) environment, a light (perhaps imperceptable) amount of condensation (or mould) may have formed on any (not necessarily the outer) lens surface and acted as a difuser, causing a circular halo around any bright spots in the image area.
I have some great ones, done on purpose with my 85mm soft focus lens.
You post your, I'll post mine....

when I met Gerri, we both were shooting film.
I had pentax system, Gerri had canon.
We used the digital switch as an opportunity to drop one system.
I had more/better glass & flash than Gerri, so we sold off the canon gear.
we got a g5 digital, and shot film and digital, then when we needed a wider zoom range we got a canon pro one. (at the time buying compact digitals made more sense than buying a dslr and lenses). We avoided getting into a new system, and waited till the second generation of pentaxes before buying the ds2.
Bottom line? I would've bought a zlr (canon Is5 for example) with long reach, costing about the same as a lens) before starting a second system.
Imagine being out in the feild, and your nikon batery is dead, and your pentax body doesn't have a telephoto lens. Or your pentax body has a ringflash, but your nikon has a better macro lens....
I had a bugger of a time finding a tripod head for my manfrotto to make sure my still and video cameras, had interchangable tripod quickmount plates.....(why carry different tripods?)
never mind having to carry two of everything for my slrs....

we had a terrific storm out here last week. Tornados and everything.
I was stuck at home with the kids, Gerri was stuck at work.
I didn't have a great view from home, and didn't get any of the lightening, hail or tornados...

You try and get a sitter to come out during a storm so you can get photos of a tornado, and see how many "ARE YOU F#$$%ING NUTS!!!" you get.
