the only downside of the cheaper epsons is this:
less options on paper handling. slower print speeds...do to down engineering....there's a chip inside that slows it down....the cartridges are smaller (than the pro printers) and demand changing before the ink truly runs out forcing you to waste and therefore buy more ink. Print quality is the same as the printheads are the same and the respective inks are the same.....you get the idea....

most epson 3800's ship with a set of inks. the value of those inks will more than offset the price difference of the printer. (vs the r2400).

the cost of running the printer is less over the life of the printer.

they getcha' on the printer with the pro model, or they getcha' on the inks with the consumer model!

either way go epson!

as a business person I often ask people:

If you are unhappy about me for any reason, talk to me, and I'll make you happy.
When you are happy about me, tell all your friends!

I'd drop the manager a note with a link to this forum to let him know you're happy....cause to be honest, I like to hear it when people are happy too!

somwhere in these forums..some goof posted a how-to on using a cheap laundry hamper to make a light tent for under ten bucks...

the 10:10 is an industry practice (check out some mags/flyers) it allows the brand name of the watch to be seen without the hands blocking or drawing attention away from it.

Try a light tent.
prep it carefully (remove the battery and set the time to 10:10) clean it very thouroughly.

right now in Canada, our dollar has surpassed the US dollar.
The old excuse of Goods have to cost more to offset the exchange rate, is no longer valid. Yet our prices are still higher than the US.
Some stores in the US are refusing to sell (some electronics and) cars to Canadians, who are buying in the US!!!

I think I read somewhere that we're heading towards a global economy, a global currency and a global government.

We''ll all need a number in order to trade or sell. It is a human number....

That'll fix everything....
javascript:emoticon('')

'till then we'll all have to just deal with it.

Is it me, or did nobody else pick up on the fact that the original poster missed one crucial detail....next time; my advice would be this:

Ask ALL your questions BEFORE you buy...not after. (I won't even look at the prices in the flyers After I just bought something unless there's some sort of price warranty... Why worry about it when you can get out and take some pictures?)

I know that the cost is higher, but I'd still recommend buying locally and keeping someone in your area gainfully employed.

so 'spider....did you ever hear the one about the guy who walked around with a pair of vice-grips, clamped onto (something) down his pants?
when asked why he was doing that, he replied:
"because it feels soooo good when I stop...."
