the concept of changing ev comp between exposures is good if you can do it between exposures, without moving the camera....but my idea is a little different...
if a graduated nd filter, in a sliding holder, could be smoothly slid past the lens during the multiple exposures...
-or-
ever notice that the faster a prop spins, the harder it is to see the blades? well the faster it spins the less light it blocks, allowing you to see what's behind it....so a clear disc with a nd section on it spun like a propeller....increasing or decreasing the speed during multiple exposures....
see where I'm going with this?

so in one post is chat about propellors and another thread, an interesting read on multiexposures for noise reduction.
so now Don's brain is ramping up and a new concept is coming to light.
using multiple exposure mode to create an in camera HDR image.....
get back to you all soon when I get some experiments done....

I use an upside down nd filter to prevent the city lights from blowing out on long exposures.
Highly unlikely to get sued, there is so much of it going on.
I know that publishers, ad agencies, and creative pros from many fields won't do business with somebody that violates copyrights.
Don't forget, all those albums, record companies, actors/actresses, movie execs and graphic artists, ad agencies, make up a HUGE body of photography BUYERS!
If we don't respect thier copyrights, they won't support us either!

I think it's a huge mistake on his part to infringe copyrighted music and said so.
I personally have good eyesight, and a fast internet connection, so didn't notice any problems there...
I'm a fan of Benjikan's work and like his site... take note where he gets his music from!!!!!!!
on my site and in my (somewhat late) podcasts I use music that I create.
He won't listen. He may get sued. A mother in the US got sued for 12 million by the record industry for file sharing with bit torrent, and she wasn't using it for commercial gain!!!!

if a prop blade moves past an opening, the opening has the light blocked for the duration of time it takes the blade to move past the opening.
the opacity of the prop blade does not change but the faster it spins, the less time it spends blocking the opening in a given time frame, so hence the logic that more light passes through the opening.....
symantics to be sure, but if you spin the prop slow enough, it will block the opening for the entier exposure, spin it fast enough, and it won't block the light long enough to affect the exposure at all.
