I would say - no EVF, just LCD. This is what most digicam users expect to happen, and allows you to zoom for manual focus (I've even managed manual focus on the K20D live view when zoomed :shock.
I could see that an LCD-only dSLR could be made to work... ok it's not the same as pentaprism, but I could see a market
Matt
I'm thinking that LCD screens are getting good enough to replace other viewing methods
I'm typing on an. iPhone right now
But what happen when the sunlight hits it on a so perfect that you don't see a thing, als no viewfinder would mean you would need to use the camera at arm length to look at the screen. Point and shoots are light so not much of a problem but try to keep an DLSR still at arm-lenght
I'm expecting a hybrid evf/pentraprism where a Mattescreen gets replaced/overlayed with an lcd (possibly transparent) display for eyelevel viewing, and an lcd on the back of the camera as well.... and eventually evf viewers replacing pentaprisms altoghether

I may be shooting one for a wedding this summer, if the customer wants to pay an extra grand that is... I've got the Phocus/Flexcolor software....
I hope the pentax 645d comes soon it would be nice to buy, rather than rent...there is always the risk that the rental may be booked on the very day I need it...hasn't happened yet..but...

to help out with "Brush" problem....

look in your image editor for a filter called "Liquify".
instead of painting over or erasing , try manipulating with Liquify.

I have taken this from a Dutch forum. The poster, Pentaxke, has contacts in the industry. Never the less take it all with a pinch of salt given the date.

He states that it will be announced on 30th April and will have:
A magnesium body, Jis class 7 water proof 9whatever that means .
Safox X AF with 25 focus points.
New sensor - possibly square so that the user can decide the ratio.
5fps.
Internal 4GB memory.
New Li-ion battery for 2500 shots, plus maybe AA capability.
Built in GPS, for tagging and for use as a GPS unit with maps- though it will then take some of the inbuilt memory.
5 colours - including Olive green and scarlet Lenses still only in black though.
Also:
New pancake zoom lens 26-43mm. Maybe in colours to match the camera.

As I said remember the date, but it could be interesting if it is true!
news about an olive green Pentax with matching olive green pancake lens from our Dutch friends...posted on Aprils fools day...

thanx... well I think it would look better cropped a little off the left and bottom, but this one will be a montage with three smaller images added to it....so it isn't quite done.
