I have taken this from a Dutch forum. The poster, Pentaxke, has contacts in the industry. Never the less take it all with a pinch of salt given the date.

He states that it will be announced on 30th April and will have:
A magnesium body, Jis class 7 water proof 9whatever that means .
Safox X AF with 25 focus points.
New sensor - possibly square so that the user can decide the ratio.
5fps.
Internal 4GB memory.
New Li-ion battery for 2500 shots, plus maybe AA capability.
Built in GPS, for tagging and for use as a GPS unit with maps- though it will then take some of the inbuilt memory.
5 colours - including Olive green and scarlet Lenses still only in black though.
Also:
New pancake zoom lens 26-43mm. Maybe in colours to match the camera.

As I said remember the date, but it could be interesting if it is true!

I like the sound of that lens also, what do you suppose the max aperture will be on that : 2.4 constant : sounds yummy

My husband was telling me about some Camo fishing hooks and I thought it was an April fool joke - sad thing is, it wasn't.

Well this may not be an April fool joke either. We'll have to wait and see.

This should need some serious waterproofing when it is true...
This is somewhat comparable to IP65 and that takes some serious sealing.

JIS CLASS 7
Protected against the effects of temporary immersion in water
Ingress of water in quantities causing harmful effects shall not be possible when the enclosure is temporarily immersed 'in water under standardized conditions of pressure and time

GPS with mapping funktion? So I can ditch my sat nav? hmm, I find that a little hard to believe.

Li-ion AND AA batteries?

I've heard that the part of the M62 Motorway, that used to be the runway for the American USAF airbase at Burtonwood is being turned back into a runway, because that was the agreement, they could re-open it for flights to America whenever they needed to. The American carrier Fly-Low Airlines are going to do cheap £50 return flights once a week. Special traffic lights are being installed to hold up the Motorway traffic while the plane lands and takes off

I'll take that pancake zoom lens with a pinch of lemon.
PS: Just two posts to go to the 100. Will I then loose my Venerable status?

With respect, you're a mere master. Nothing grand about you!
