I college I did that using a pentax ds2 and a superprogram and k1000, also used a canon ae1.
would set up the shot, the lighting and shoot both film and digital, easy to compare, and I had similar shots for the darkroom and computer.

Don,
I just bought this as a fun domestic camera editing on Windows Movie Maker. The camera has a mike and headhone input which seems to be quite unusual in something so tiny. My 14 year old daughter directed this the day we got it, she's also Chaplin in it.

Professionally its always been Aaton film cameras or Sony professional broadcast kit editing with Avid Media Composer or more recently FCP. This is one of mine, shot on a Sony Digi Betacam:

I know you would just kill to have a motorcycle like this!
nice work.
the "Dram too far" one reminds me a little of a canadian film "One Week" (available on Itunes) which is well worth watching... I hope to have my film making up to your standards soon. Hard because I'm basicaly a one man show for now... wish I could hire some people and focus on producing/directing some projects.

Don's beaten me to it (nothing new there), but here you are anyway. By the way, the latest 50-200 IS weather-resistant.
28-70 is not a wide-angle zoom on a Pentax DSLR. The sensor is smaller than a 35mm film frame, so you get a cropped image. 28mm looks like 42mm on a film camera.
I suspect your needs would be met by two "modestly" priced lenses, the kit 18-55 WR (for Weather-Resistant) and the 50-200 WR. In the case of the latter, 200mm would be equivalent to 300mm on a film camera.
In other words, these lenses are equivalent to 24-80 and 75-300 on a film camera. Both are weather-resistant and should serve you well until your budget expands.
And, assuming you are in the UK, this is a good place to buy:

also, cheap halogen hardware store worklamps will do, esp if you're just using them indirectly, bounced for fill...

They are great people who mean well.
They try to maintain standards and that's good.
The time limit is to prevent posters fron altering content, AFTER others have had a chance to respond to the post as it makes for some very confusing and sometimes misleading threads, hard for readers who come along later to sort out...
I have learning disabilities also. I have no choice but to live with it 24-7, they can suffer through a sentence or three, it won't really hurt them, and if someones complains, I can endure it, it won't reall hurt me either!
Forgive and forget, it is what you got to say that makes a post relevent, not whether you spelled it right that really matters.
