I've even used it on computer motherboards.
If you can't reach the contact with a cotton bud, then try a small piece of cloth over the end of a pencil and held in place with masking tape.
After you have forgotten to remove the batteries once, you will get obsessive about checking everthing to make sure you have not done it again!

A lot of netbooks will run Apple OS X to some degree. I had a compatibility chart, but I think it got trashed a few days back in a clear-up session.
From memory, you would either need a version of OS X that was not model-specific, or one of the hacked versions that are available on the net. Different netbooks have different issues with specific software after the OS is installed.

Just a quick "heads up" ...
For anyone still running XP or Vista - Morgan Computer are offering PSE7 for less than £23 delivered. Just the DVD, no manuals, but you do get a valid serial number. Got mine already! Play with it tomorrow.

- If it's an M42 mount - YES. K-mount adaptors are readily available.
- If its a T-mount - Most unlikely! these have three set-screws to hold the mount on. Personally. I have only ever seen one (and it's in my own kit)
- If its a T2 mount - YES. I think SRB of Luton still offer them. But a search for K-mount in T2 fitting should find one.

To check, the T2 is actually M42x0.75 mm pitch while the normal Pentax screw mount is M42x1.0 mm. The easy way to measure this without thread gauges is to press a piece of paper against the threads and then measure across as many marks (lines) as you can - then divide by the number of lines. That will be close enough for government work.

I know, then there would be the problem of using a logo without permission.
I figure that £5 would be about right to support our chosen brand.
And, many firms have given them away to promote their products - hey, every second redneck in a pickup truck in the US has a John Deere ballcap on! They (the rednecks) are better than footie louts though.
