It should be interesting to know what was the focal length in each case.

My first impression is that the Tamron 18-200 at the focal lengths you used have very acceptable image sharpness. Very nitride and good definition in all the seven images.

For really appreciate the lens qualities use the extreme values (maximum aperture with extreme focal lengths stops) f/3.5 at 18mm and f/6.3 at 250mm in the appropriate light condition. An see what you get…

And what about the Tamron price?

Best regards.

My theory that is a sunset is because I suppose the B747 is in a more or less straight flight from Hong Kong to Amsterdam (I know that the airways are not at all times a straight line). The direct course or track (show in a globe map) is more or less 280º/300º, and the sun is in the horizon (or near it) and at the nose of the aircraft. For these reasons is that I believe this is a sunset.

Having never played with HDR (so I may be wrong), to the best of my knowledge you need at least 5 seperate exposures (images. photos or whatever you want to call them) to do a proper HDR image.

Take a look to my entry image of this week. This is just a pseudo HDR.

With only one single RAW shot I developed one .jpg image with the correct exposure, then a second .jpg with a Ev bias of – 1.5 and a third one with a Ev bias + 1.5 Merged the three images and, voilá … Look what strong and healthy Cu´s I get.

Best regards.
