Discussion: Weekly Competition 20 "My Day"
Interesting topic this one but I was just about to post a shot there before realising it'd be almost meaningless without an explanation of why!
That occurred to me too. It might raise the bar a bit too high, since the theme is so general, but I'd certainly like to see entries where the connection to the theme was in the photograph, rather than having a photo that could fit almost any theme, with a sentence at the top saying why it's relevant.
Not sure a picture of me in my extremely untidy office would make a particularly good picture, so I probably won't be entering.
When I said MY DAY I thought it would present you with plenty of scope, my "loose parameters" would include literally anything you are involved with during your day:
not necessarily self portrait or even people
could be an event during your day
ones dog walking in the park
going to the pub
shopping
meal times etc. etc.
just something that sums up your day
I thought it would be an interesting gallery of images portraying our day to day lives.
Sorry you do not see it that way...I perhaps should have chosen a more conventional specific theme.

It's the 'just' though.

One image to sum up one's day is actually exceedingly difficult, I think.
I've had an idea, but for it to be anything but dull, dull, dull, it's going to need some careful setting up and lighting, so it'll probably take me nearly to the end of the week to work out how to do it, if I'm even capable of it at all.
...I perhaps should have chosen a more conventional specific theme.
I really wouldn't worry about it. This will identify those with an imagination as well as those who can spot a good image.
I'm off to get my bike from having a service. Who knows what photo opportunities may arise...

That's me stuffed then...
I hope not, the picture is dreadful

the atmosphere after the Monochrome debate,
