Altitude for majority of the photos was 10,000 ft ASL. Terrain elevation of the Valley is around 7,000 ft, more or less. (3,000 ft. AGL).

Interesting angle of view. I think giving a bit more participation to the sky would increase the composition atmosphere contrast (the brutalist symmetry against the nature shapes). A pleasurable B&W image!

Possess an incredible definition for all this strong backlight, specially the low neck skin. A colorfully and very well captured image although the lens flare. Like the contrast between the two mouths…

Dear friends,

Last night I had a bit free time so decided to investigate the new features of our PentaxUser Forum in his renewed face.

Discovered many things I was a little forgotten about. Playing whit the new searching tool I found with great surprise the post “MISSING PERSONS REPORT” started by Martin (Malo1961) the 11-DIC-2008. Oh! my God, it was about me! My heart started to run faster and faster. A great emotion invaded all me. Yes, I am the culprit. I abandoned the Forum and all my friends without any advice! Strongly ask forgiveness for my negligence…

What I did in all this time?.Well, I am near my retirement (now postponed to October of 2010), so I began a project for what I will do when I don´t fly anymore. The idea was build, with my own hands resources, a kind of workshop where I can develop all the things in the past I couldn’t do by lack of time. I know about carpentry, smithy and turnery but the main interest is in a photographic studio. I projected and build a 50 square meters workshop for do all this things I have in mind.

I started with my work in June and finished with the roof and the floor at mid January of this year. 7 months of heavy bricklayer work! When I got immersed in the work, my mind and my body just knew about bricks, concrete, iron structures, stones, sand, pails, stairs, tiredness and sweat… (lost 5 Kg of weight in all this month’s).

In August in a rainy day I remembered my Pentax! Oh! the batteries are still in the camera. I extracted from before I forget and damage the camera.

Time by time, I did some shots for registering the progress of the project. And some late nights (not too much) I went into the Forum for track the Competitions and the new Main Gallery (I wrote some C&C).

Thanks to all my friends in the PentaxUser Forum for his esteem and preoccupation in my person. Really I deeply appreciate all what you did for a friend…

You are right Duncan, the compass are not aligned to the north. I used a magnet to force the compass needle point home.
