Obviously it's nicer without the tc, but still great with.
I got mine brand new from EBay (from Hong Kong)

IF you get away without paying the import duty or vat then you can save about 30 over the UK price - but it's a big IF.
However as a few of the others have said you can get Chris @ SRS to ship you one the next day, with full UK support and backup - and you'll be supporting a UK company who have (to the best of my knowledge) a 100% satisfaction record with the forum.
Hell, I've not been looking around for prices for the K10D elsewhere abymore - just waiting for it to drop enough for me to afford - SRS are the cheapest I have found in UK, and the customer service has always been superb.

I'm using the EX 100-300 f4, if you use it with a 1.4 EX converter then it becomes a 140-420, still at f 5.6 costant throught the whole zoom range.
Chunky lens though

Nice work! Have you considered writing "the book" on PS? To go with the one one flash, Bokeh, etc etc
awesome knowledge base

I resent the "expectation" that there is of people shooting digital to then spend hours on each frame tweaking and airbrushing - picasa allows me to correct levels very slightly (most shots of mine need nothing) and then one pass of the sharpen tool and I'm happy

The grip for me really transformed the camera - especially shooting with a 70-200 f2.8, 2x converter, fully zoomed at 1/90 sec hand held....
But it's quick enough to whip out the old batteries and fit new that I don't bother with two sets unless i'm going for a walk somewhere and really don't have room to keep a second set in my pocket - it's nice to know when you are onto the last set.

I agree.
Chris @ SRS has very competitive prices and is extremely helpful.
Last camera bought from Chris (last minute birthday present a lad at work needed) was ordered at 3pm on a friday and was in his hands by lunchtime on the sat - and at a very reasonable price.
