Might having the point of focus at the tip change the whole feel of it? The loss of focus towards the tip suggests (to me) a path disappearing into the far distance (infinity?). With the tip in focus, that might be lost. There's only one way to find out...

Noooooooooooo 😥😥😥😥

Really, really good. Definitely minimalism, but the soft and flowing sort rather than hard and angular.

Be honest, though - since the grass was blowing in the breeze (a) how many shots did it take to get the point of focus just right; (b) did you visualise this first or was it one of those "Oooh, look at that!" moments when you looked through a lot of random images?? Either way, the end justifies the means.

Steve
8 shots is what it took and I had to chimp each shot, 😂😂😂😂
Tbh, I would have liked the point of focus right at the tip, but on balance I thought this was close enough, I saw the shot before I took it, but that maybe because I took a similar shot last week with a dew drop on a blade of grass.

Thanks guys

The cropped shot for me, although it would be worth trying to clone out the distraction as the shot loses something in the crop.

A very basic shot, just a blade of grass, that was blowing in the breeze, a kind of minimalism, at least to me.

You can focus stack in photoshop but I don't know how good it is.

Worked really well, well lit, lovely colours. Sharp as it could need to be, with nice soft oof falloff 👏👏👏

Superb. The colours of the bugs are brought out beautifully by the lighting, background and composition. The dung fly for me, too, if I really had to choose one.

Would the last one benefit from a tighter crop on the bug? My eyes keep being drawn to the OOF circular blobs on the right.

Steve
You are right they are rather distracting. here's a very quick edit from my ph.

Cracking set, always love it when you post a new set, not really any need to pick faves from these as all are wonderful anyway, but I'll pick a few that do it for me,
No 4 is hands down, my pick of the set, fantastic image, after that its, 17, 7, 9, 18 and 5,
Are 4 5, 7 and 15 on the same stretch of beach just at varying distances and view points ?
Cant wait for the next set 👍👍👍
