I went out into the garden to get some bay leaves for a stew when i spotted these, I think they are hibernating although i don't remember ever seeing them do this before.

Also, if your using the mirrors to bounce light around don't! stop! They reflect light very direct and harsh. Swap these for white card. This bounces light back but scatters it so the light produced is more soft and flattering. You can buy A1 sheets in Hobby Craft for under a fiver a go
Cheers and thanks for the advice. Will try to get more lighting and will stay away from household lamps and mirrors.

Just going through your past created threads and your first attempt at studio lighting, that 2nd shot was really nice! The others suffered from shadows on the face. Lighting high up or low down will produce shadows over the face. That's not to say you shouldn't, just make sure you fill in the shadows in the form of a reflector or other suitably toned down low power light source. Did you get that lighting equipment for your motorbike then??
No I still haven't done anything about that yet.
I bought the light and stand for €20.
Must try and get more. As it's a struggle trying to angle mirrors.

Small lights as in studio flash heads / continuous studio lights / household lamps??

Are you using your hotshoe flash for the main light it the hair light? Where are you positioning it? On camera / off camera, bounced / direct?

What's your home made light modifier? beauty dish?
I have one small continuous studio light one household lamp and the mod for my flash is a homemade beauty dish. Oh and I have one light stand.
I didn't use the flash on this lot. Where as I did on the first set.

Glowingblue yes I can see that is much better already. I like what you've done with it. I must have a little play with it also
Thanks for taking the time to do that and post it. As without seeing it I wouldn't have known what you meant.
Thanks again
