Getting stock into shops would be a help, or shops to stock pentax. Currently in Ireland only one shop stocks pentax. They are complete rip off merchants. They have 4 models listed, k 30, k5ii, k5iis and 645d of these only the k5ii is in stock and that is marked as low stock and priced at €969.99 body only.
The last time I spoke to their head rep he told me pentax weren't hip enough and only had a kind of cult / older following. They weren't even trying to push pentax and even if asked they were offering alternatives. Marketing seems to be a non starter over here anyway.
My tuppence worth.

I'd argue it's even more. Unless you're colour blind, you see colour in the world and not Black and White. I feel people are free to manipulate an image as they want, be that low level alterations such as saturation, contrast, cropping, rotation, lens correction to remove barrel distortion etc, up to larger adjustments, such as converting to black and white, adding a vignette, cloning out items they are not happy with, flipping horizontally, adding text, blurring areas, using HDR techniques, merging two different photos into one, localised sharpness, duplication of one dolphin into many, creating panoramas of multiple shots, you name it.

What you want to do to a picture is your choice alone. It's potentially far more than just adjusting it to what your eye sees if you want it to be. I don't feel there are any wrongs and rights in this, unless the requirement IS specifically for exactness, such as medical imagery, crime scene photography, items for sale etc.

Hi mudge, they're excellent, no difference in quality between these and what I did. #3 the daisy I think is my favourite, I'm just back from a fire so I'm on a pad not pc so I can't load any new ones at the minute. It's not until you get to the blending stage that you can see which mode will give the best result for a particular image, and these are all great.
(Hope your back is better soon)
(Or not, if you want a chance to do some more)

Cheers guys. The 1st and 2nd are my favs with the 1st just edging it. The 3rd one is that process done on the 2nd image. So lots of scope for messing around.
