Hi Simon, i have edited your original and your "autoderek" and blended in a quick edit of mine, hope you don't mind.

Cheers Mudge, it was the white and the orange that made me think of a swan, didnt peek at your p/f.

Ooohh that does work well Simon, I'm liking it.

A swan.

After burners on a jet ?
Haven't a clue but I do rather like it.

Ihabcwaoyata. So there. !!!!!

Very well done indeed. Two very fine shots. Congrats.

Ok i managed to get out for 20 mins with the camera, set for back button af. What ive noticed is that it will take a bit of getting used to.
After reading the other thread on this a common theme seemed to be its usefulness when in afc, as a fairly constant user of afs, this was awkward for me, though in fairness that was down to me forgetting that i could take my finger off the back button and still take the shot.
Overall i think this could work well once i have gotten used to it.
I shall persevere and see what happens in different situations and any learning points other than if set on afc don't forget to release the back button after focusing if wanting to recompose

Thanks for the help
Derek

Some interesting points there algi

Will do, will try and get out, in a bit, after my dinner settles.
