Youre grand, even if you were trying to, it wouldnt have offended me.
Its odd as it reads f2.8 as f1.2 but also registers every point in between 1.2 and 2.8
So there is 1.2-1.3-1.4-1.5-1.6. And so on ........
So i have started using the aperture ring again just so i know what im using, but not that id remember for a particular shot.

Superb photographs, Derek, especially the weevils.
Do you have a pic of your diffuser set-up please?
Roger
Made up with plastic mixing bowl. Bottom cut out. Outside painted black. Inside painted white.
Then taped to the ringflash
Empty coffee tin (well known brand) cut in half and fitted into centerof rinflash as a hood to cut back flare.
White foamy packaging aroud that to diffuse the light.
Looks monstrous but it's light and it works.
I might just glue them together instead of taping, as I can't see myself using the ringflash without it.
Hope this helps
Derek
