As an interim measure, you could acquire one of the Sony's and an adapter which will allow you to use your Pentax glass instead of having to invest heavily in new glass as well, until the Pentax FF is released, (which it will and of course being Pentax will superior too!)

Just a thought...

It's not just lenses, it's cameras as well.

The Sigma 8-18mm is also worth some consideration. It's a fabulous lens and takes you just about as wide as it's currently possible to go.

Take a look here at some of the stunning examples this lens is capable of:- link

50-150 arrived safely today, neatly packed and lovely condition. It's a hefty piece of equipment alright but I'm delighted to own one at last and looking forward to enjoying it.

Thank you testdasi, it's been a pleasure to trade with you.

Just nice that it was Pentax. All those who say that having Ricoh on the back of the camera is the beginning of the end of the Pentax name, may have to think again.

Having Ricoh on the back isn't about doing away with the Pentax name, its about raising the profile of their other cameras by association with the best APS-C camera currently on the market

Thanks guys. Im going to plump for the M version.

Do you know anything about the 85 F2 guys?
My first port of call when investigating a lens is to the Pentax Lens Reviews and in the case of the 85MM f2.0 that means here:- link

I happen to own one of these and whilst the body of it is pristine, regrettably the glass is exhibiting the faintest signs of fungus I think I will be sending it to the lens doctor for cleaning...

As David says above, the Pentax SMC A 50mm f1.7 is probably the most convenient to use. Have a look here link for examples of it's capabilities and what other users have to say about it..
