I have the Samsung GX10 equivalent version of the K10D and love. It does have some limitations as detailed by the OP above but it is a stellar sunny day day camera.

Don't forget to post some shots of and with the new lens!
Again apologies for the slow response. I've never been one for posting images but that aside I don't have any images taken with this lens that I would consider good enough to share anyway. Since owning this lovely lens, I've been hampered with life and work and time for the pleasures of photography have been somewhat limited. I suppose it's that time of year as well with its long dark days that don't help. Anyway, I promise that I will endeavour to be more active in the coming weeks and take some images that I consider worthy of sharing.

Was the focusing well calibrated out of the box?
Sorry for the slow reply. Being that it is a 'modern vintage' lens, it is of course full manual operation only. I can't say that I've had or noticed any issues with either focussing or using the lens. It is a hefty item and in looks is something akin to an old Jupiter 9 or Mir 37 but with all the advantages of being new. For a more in depth take on it, have a look at the review from Simon's utak and there are many others. I'll leave a link below.

Yep, beautiful indeed. Looks like some kind of cosmic Orb Spider.
Best seen large. Well done.

Another interesting video from Simon's utak for those who have an interest in Pentax history and vintage lenses, where he compares the 35mm Takumar line up.
Enjoy all.

Great video, thank you for sharing!
You are very welcome Bjorn. I'm delighted that at least one other person enjoyed it. As for the so called music, I totally agree. Sadly though, that wasn't peculiar to just this video. I dumped my TV back in 2016 and as a consequence I do watch a lot of Youtube content for research and entertainment. Increasingly I'm finding that more and more producers are trying to over dramatise their videos with over loud, noisy thumping music which bears no relation to the content but rather just ruins it. Some even try to talk over and through the noise.
It makes me wonder, do these people bother to preview what they're putting out. I really don't get it. These days if my ears are assaulted within the first few seconds I'll either kill the video or kill the sound and follow it with the sub titles.

Have a good weekend all.
