I'd have thought it was extremely unlikely that anyone would want that specific combination as one lot. Why not price them individually, you already have interest in two and I might be interested in another.

Dave, I just attached my K30 with raw files and they opened fine with Silkypix Developer V3.0. As is sometimes the case why not try removing the programme and reinstalling.

Hi, thanks Cedric. Yes, I have said above that I managed to get it to work by installing the version that came with the K-30, not the version (slightly earlier) that came with the Q. I hadn't realised that they were camera specific although as other people said you wouldn't expect them to be - I guess it's a way to try and get you to get the full version!

It doesn't seem unreasonable to expect it to work with the camera it's supplied with!

Yes, we are talking about the free version. The other way of looking at it though is it hardly inspires me to upgrade if the "demo" version doesn't work for the camera it has been supplied with.

Yes - it looks like a software fault here we have discovered. All my .DNG files open with Photoshop but even with this later version not all .DNG files are opening.

Problem solved. I had installed v3.0.01 which came with the Q. I uninstalled this and installed v3.0.05 which came with the K-30. All is OK. Seems odd though, maybe just a duff copy I got with the Q, didn't think they were camera specific.
Thanks anyway, John.

Aha, thanks, no wonder I've never used it before!
Edit - hang on, I think the K-30 only saves raw as .DNG so why would it be supplied with something called Silkypix for Pentax if it didn't support the file format?

I thought I would give Silkypix 3.0 a go as a change from PS Elements.
When I try and open a .DNG file it comes up with "Cannot read unsupported camera file" which was a bit of a shock! Raw files are in the drop down choices and it opened a .jpg ok. Any ideas?

Jolly good - priced very sensibly I thought.

If you're not too far south perhaps we could change that though??

Hi

I live in Witham. I belong to a camera club in Great Notley but it's changed in the last 12 months i.e Not many days out, all the last 3 months workshops have been about using Studio Lighting (Thats not my scene).

I work for Ford Motor Company in Research & Engineering so may have something in common there also.

Regards

Tony
I guess nothing happened. I live a few hundred metres from where you work Tony and recently had a part time job at Benton Hall GC in Witham. Dunno about Camera Clubs - sounds like we needed to swap houses!
A Pentax only club around Chelmsford would be great.
And Mike - I'm a retired analytical Chemist/Lab Manager so plenty of different people with stuff in common as well as Pentax.
