I agree. The simple tones make the picture much better than the tinkering did -- And I never noticed the shadowy figure in the right foreground at all in the earlier version.

That's one of the most characterful shots of one of these I've ever seen. Wow, such jaunty attitude! (It's a shield bug) Lovely capture.

I took some very close up ones with a 28mm and ext tubes yesterday with barely half an inch between the end of the lens and the subject. Also 800 ISO. The possible difference was a table-top tripod, a remote release and 15seconds exposure at f5.6. The results were bright as you please.

It's crisp and vibrant, and you do get the impression you could see for ever. Very nice result

It was her WRIST that got injured Larry! You're letting Giulio's enthusiasm carry you away.

I'm still trying to figure out its relationship with the ship (which is WELL worth the visit). This is a really fantastic image with so many interesting focal points.

Neat use of the foreground bush that appears to recede and combine with the one behind it, reinforcing the perspective of the path.

That's a lovely picture of somebody's lovely idea (painting the chairs, that is).

Curious effect here: We know from the other images that the bridge deck is almost 4ft above the water but here, it seems to be barely above the waterline. Maybe a troll sat on it? Nice series David.

I like that. I looked at it for a long time.
