It looks like someone just materialised it there. And the startling contrast with the beech tree (that clearly ought to be there) really sets it off.

I'm going to have to look at reflected images a bit more -- I'm still trying to figure out how or why the reflected tip of the peak is offset well to the right of the actual tip and you can see more of the mountain in the water than for real where it is cut short by the left frame edge. Excellent composition. If it wasn't in such a grubby state it could even be a promotional shot in a glossy brochure! (Needs a bit of imagination there).
