It's fairly obvious which way the sunshine was coming from! The undulations in this landscape are wonderfully captured and the cypress tree simply says, "OY! Look at this!" I looked and I liked it.

I'm really pleased that this one was chosen as it 'shines' (or maybe it doesn't!) in so many ways -technical, aesthetic, emotional, composition and more. Great use of a very rare resource!

Yes. I agree with every word. Capturing what you see in clouds is something of a black art - which is why I was impressed with the eclipse image, earlier. What you have here is similarly deep and brooding.
