You put me in awe of the universe and of your record of it.

I await the scrolling banner that is about to follow the eye catching logo as it marches off into infinity with stirring martial music.

Mono would not have told you that the cladding on No.2 is copper (Lord help them if the metal thieves came along!). It's great for the job because once its surface has has oxidised, that's it. No more corrosion - but it is a bit expensive! It is a super picture too.

Changing the subject entirely, we see familiar names regularly but we have no idea of their circumstances. Here is a great example. Frailty overcomes most of us - me included unfortunately - and no-one realises. One great, though unlamented loss was 'Autumnlight'. She simply stopped submitting her wonderful images. I'm not saying we should (or could) do much about it but it does bear remembering.

It looks like a common, or garden, orb web weaving spider. I don't know the correct terms for them but they appear in their thousands this time of year and sit right in the middle of their webs, waiting for prey - or stupid people who blunder into them, first thing in the morning since they put their web right across the garden path!

I will try to help this along ....

A thread appeared on the other channel last week concerning the scarcity of batteries for Pentax cameras and I looked at various suppliers (since those being offered here were not the right ones for my cameras). " Out of stock", " out of stock"! You can't find them. I eventually located a pair of DSTE D-L190s on a site that said, "only three left." So I bought them.

Those being offered here are not for K1, K3 or K5 cameras but the same problem might well be present for whatever they are meant for. If you ain't got a battery your precious camera is just so much scrap!

Like you, I have too many 200mm lenses that I rarely use!

Yes. I've tried all of that and captured an OOF moorhen legging it into the reedbed. Great stuff. Enjoy your praise from the rest of us.

Mike is right. You would be a bit wary of going along the first one.
